Architectural Designer –£45k – Alderley Park, Cheshire.
SPIE UK, a smart engineering and technology-driven solutions provider for the built environment, are looking for an Architectural Designer to be responsible for progressing the design of architectural work packages from client concept ideas through to fully detailed construction status design packages.
The successful candidate will produce substantiating calculations, material selections and BOMs to support their design.
The key responsibilities of an Architectural Designer include, but are not limited to:
To manage and produce architectural drawings and modelling in order to achieve programme milestones and deadlines.
Design of detailed interfaces for the different cleanroom items; design of cleanroom panelling with minimum waste and efficient joints and rips; coordination of wall and ceiling services to the cleanroom.
Report to design manager on production progress and deliverables on a weekly basis using drawing production schedules as a reporting tool.
The key skills and qualities of an Architectural Designer:
Be qualified as an Architectural Technologist/Technician, with extensive professional working experience within a UK practice.
Competent in drawing in AutoCAD and modelling in Revit.
Must have a thorough understanding of design issues on clean rooms in order to include necessary solutions in their design.
Experience, knowledge and understanding of architectural drawing production of clean rooms, labs, write-up areas; alongside basic support and fixings calculations to validate design.
Experience of production of typical details, schedules, room loaded drawings, bill of quantities.
Experience of selection of clean room materials and details interfaces including walls, ceilings, doors, windows, alongside basic support and fixings calculations to validate design.
