We are seeking an Assistant Director of Finance – Financial Management to join our Trust. This is an exciting time to be joining the finance department as we are developing our department strategy and modernising our approach. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about continuous improvement, embraces change, and has significant experience in leading finance management teams, as well as ensuring that our financial ambition aligns to the organisation’s needs, with patient experience and population health placed at the heart of every decision.

In this role, alongside having a clear understanding and awareness of the strategic direction, you will provide the operational financial management direction for the Trust. You will ensure sound financial systems, management, and governance, and support the Deputy Director of Finance in the delivery of a sustainable financial framework across the Airedale Group, including our Pathology and Immedicare Joint Ventures.

You will work closely with our system partners, building and maintaining the strong relationships that are in place. You will be passionate about inclusion and diversity, ensuring that the finance department represents the community that we serve, and ensuring that the team is well developed and that our culture represents the expected organisational values and behaviors.

You will deputise for the Deputy Director of Finance portfolio. It is essential to have a full Professional accountancy qualification (CCAB/CIMA), have significant experience in a senior leadership role, and demonstrate values driven leadership.

The Trust aspires to be truly representative of the population we serve and we welcome applications from people of diverse backgrounds and who can evidence understanding of the needs of the communities served by the Trust.
