Associate Professor in Medical Education (Assessment Lead)
£51,034 to £59,135 per annum
Full time post, available on an indefinite basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join Norwich Medical School (MED) and its innovative and engaged Medical Education team, focussing in particular on leadership of the quality and delivery of assessments across all our teaching provision at both under-graduate and post-graduate level. You will be expected to manage the assessment team and work with colleagues to optimise the methods and processes used to ensure high quality and efficient delivery of student assessment. You will look at new ways to assess competencies and capabilities, as applicable, and share ideas and current evidence with colleagues to optimise achievement of learning outcomes for our students, according to their individual and professional needs.
As part of this role, you will also be teaching in your area of your expertise and thus actively engage in our academic community. Depending on your background and experience, other roles within the School will be negotiated to help shape this post according to your and our needs.
You will have a good first degree (2:1 or First class) in an area relevant to the role. You will also have extensive experience of developing and using a wide range of teaching and assessment modalities at both under- and post-graduate level, and a passion for medical education and how best to assess students.
