We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Automation Test Analyst, who can help us transform our major clients. You must be passionate about technology and about testing IT systems, utilising XP and agile practices. You must have an open mind and be willing to learn new technologies.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in ceremonies (eg: daily stand-up, show and tells, retrospectives) - Understand and participate in team definitions. - Review acceptance criteria. - Write and execute test cases (manual or automation) - Raise and manage defects. - Integrate automation tests on CI platform. - Where relevant, perform accessibility testing. - Where relevant, perform non-functional testing. - Review test plans. - Work with the client to execute UAT. - Support the release to production. - Communicate with your team members. - Mentor junior team members.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications: - Experience with Selenium Web Driver, Gherkin and using/building Cucumber - frameworks. -Experience in a programming language, such as Java. - A good understanding of fundamentals of testing. - Experience with Agile & Waterfall Methodologies. - Experience working with government or financial clients. - Good communication and client relationship skills are essential.
The following Skills & Experience would be advantageous: - Knowledge of performance testing tools and frameworks, such as JMeter and Gatling. - An understanding of testing APIs and building automated API test suites, using REST Assured or Karate. - An understanding of testing security and using security testing tools like OWASP ZAP. - Familiar with Git and have a good understanding of continuous integration tools like Jenkins, GitlabCI and CircleCI. - An Understanding of accessibility testing using tools such as JAWS and WAVE. - A science or computer based degree.
