business development executive

We are currently seeking a Business Development Executive to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Bridgwater, UK. The role will combine both internal and external Business Development activities with most external works taking place within 200 miles from Bridgwater. However, works can be anywhere in the country, so a willingness to travel and stay away if required, is essential.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, quietly determined person, willing to put in the hard yards, with an appetite to learn and a desire to be part of a great and growing team.

Key duties and responsibilities....

• The role involves proactively hunting for maintenance contracts from new customers within specific target sectors.
• To proactively increase the number of maintenance contract customer base by onboarding new customers.
• To provide consultative on-site support through surveys and consultation along with trusted, informal advice to prospective customers to ensure opportunities are not missed.
• Accurately recording all Business Development activities on company software system.
• Accurately handing over details to enable quotations to be prepared as efficiently as possible.
• Effectively managing time and resources to maximise the return from both in-office and out-of-office work.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• Confident personality with excellent communication skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Exceptional time management, ability to manage own workload within deadlines and cope under pressure
• Willingness to learn, act with integrity, professionalism and responsibility

Monday-Friday 08:00am- 17:00pm (flexible)
