An established family-run business trading for over 45 years, as a leading independent supplier of cleaning, hygiene and PPE products across the UK, the company is looking to expand its offering into new vertical markets.

Consistently striving to innovate and develop new products, the business has secured distributorship for a leading European manufacturer of environmentally-friendly commercial cleaning chemicals. This range of products offers pioneering standards of sustainability, manufactured to the highest-level accreditations, including LEED, Cradle-to-Cradle and Ecolabel, which promises to be a game-changer especially in the HORECA sector.

Consequently, they seek an experienced, ambitious Business Development Manager to penetrate major accounts in the hotel, restaurant, and catering markets.

This is a great opportunity for a self-starting sales professional to focus on the ongoing launch of a ground-breaking new product whilst also supplying the company’s existing product ranges.

This is a 100% field-based role with a monthly meeting to the company head office. Ideally you will be located in or close to one of the UKs most populous cities such as London, Manchester or Birmingham.

Key responsibilities

  • Driving business growth to achieve sales targets
  • Proactively prospect new accounts to build a comprehensive opportunity pipeline and increase brand awareness and
  • Arrange and deliver successful business meetings with prospective clients
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers

Requirements

  • Proven major contract sales experience in hotel and restaurant chains at group level and across the catering sector
  • Self-starter, reliable and trustworthy
  • A true sales "hunter" but also with the aptitude to deliver ongoing outstanding account management
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

Benefits

  • Basic Salary estimated to be in the region of £55,000 - £65,000 (neg)
