We have an exciting opportunity available for a Business Information Consultant to join our team.This role will be based at our state-of-the-art Headquarters in Southampton. However, all our people, where they can are currently working from home and we recognise the future need to be flexible. As such we are open to applications that can deliver work remotely where appropriate. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £33,380 - £37,300 per annum.

About the Business Information Consultant role:

Within Ordnance Survey the Operations business group provides the technical expertise to collect, maintain, refine and disseminate the core geospatial data which underpins our products and services. This data is acquired from a variety of sources including our own data collection capability, commercial organisations who are contracted to supply data to our specifications, and third parties who can provide data which complements or enhances our own.

We are seeking to enhance our capability within our Operation’s planning team for the provision of business information that fully supports the changing needs of the OS business.

Responsibilities of the Business Information Consultant include:

- Understanding the key drivers for business information within Operations

- Eliciting specific requirements for information from project teams and work-centres

- Understanding sources of information available and mine/aggregate to produce models & reports

- Validating the quality of source data and determine confidence levels

- Analysing data to derive operational meaning and business insights

- Developing new models and dashboards to meet changing business needs

- Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our process for collecting and exploiting business information

What we’re looking for in our Business Information Consultant:

-  Proven experience working as a Cyber Security Architect

-  Proven relationship management expertise - influencing and engaging senior and operational stakeholders

- Excellent problem-solving ability

- Flexibility – you may be called upon to help with other business change projects

- Excellent skills in analysing and presenting information to a variety of stakeholders both verbally and in written form.

- Ability to facilitate complex meetings

- Good planning, organisational, and project management skills

- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
