Business & Operations Support Manager (Care Home) 30k – 35k

Excelcare are a family-owned Care Home provider operating 32 Nursing and Care Homes in the South East.

Our London Region comprises 6 Nursing and Care Homes and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Care Operator to join our team in Queen’s Oak Care Home in Peckham as the Business & Operations Support Manager.  The home is currently rated ‘GOOD’ by CQC.

As the Business & Operations Support Manager you will be responsible for ensuring an outstanding customer journey from initial enquiry to welcoming new residents into the home.  This involves training and supporting the team within the home to understand what is required.

You will also take accountability for leading the ancillary teams within the homes to incorporate cleaning, laundry and catering including the rostering of the team.

You will understand and have knowledge of CQC regulations and current legislation as well as experience of supervising teams within a care home setting.

About you

  • 2 years’ experience as a Team Leader or Senior Care Assistant
  • Experience of dealing with enquiries into the home
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload
  • Budgetary understanding
  • An excellent understanding of care service practices, legislation, regulations and standards
  • Up to date knowledge of evidence-based practice and development requirements
