Richmond Pharmacology is one of Europe's leading early phase Contract Research Organizations, with considerable experience conducting trials with Japanese volunteers in London. We are currently looking for two Clinical Trials Associates to join our team.
Key tasks for this role will include (among other things)
- Ward Maintenance (beds, equipment, general tidiness) - Ward rounds (dosing and meal rounds) - Ensuring the safety and comfort of our volunteers - Accurate documentation of procedures - Labelling of sample containers, aliquots, swabs and other equipment used for study procedures - Clinical tasks including, phlebotomy (venepuncture / cannular etc), taking height and weight measurements, taking vitals, ECG readings using a 12 lead holter)
Experience working as a nurse or other front-line healthcare professional is essential. Knowledge of the clinical trials process (preferably phase 1 / phase 2) is also required.
This role will involve direct interaction with cohorts of native Japanese volunteers, many of whom will have limited English language skills. As a result, the successful candidate will speak Japanese to the same degree as a native and will have previous experience working directly with Japanese customers / patients, being able to communicate freely and with ease in a friendly, welcoming, helpful manner. Many of our volunteers will be taking part in clinical trials for the first time and it is the responsibility of the CTA to ensure that they feel safe, secure and welcome.
