We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and creative Communications professional to join the team for 12 months fixed term.

This role would be perfect for someone with experience and looking to grow their career as we continue to develop the communications function. You’ll be working for one of the leading automotive retailers in the UK and some of the best car brands in the world, in an organisation that puts their colleagues at the heart.

As Communications Executive you’ll be covering elements of internal, PR, digital and engagement, so adaptability is key. Experience in all these areas is beneficial but not essential, however excellent writing skills are a must. You’ll need a creative approach as well as demonstrated experience of working with multiple stakeholders, executing campaigns and driving engagement within a large multi-site organisation.

This is a home-based remote role with some ad-hoc travel as required.

Role responsibility

• Creating engaging content for various internal communication channels to get the right message, to the right people, at the right time
• Developing, implementing, and evaluating key campaigns throughout the year in collaboration with the Group function, and UK market leaders
• Maintaining the UK intranet ensuring it remains up to date, easy to use and relevant to colleagues
• Supporting stakeholders with communications requirements, advising on the best way to implement initiatives
• Supporting with all colleague events, in person and remotely, including quarterly town hall business updates and colleague recognition events
• Support the head of communications with UK strategic projects including change programmes, colleague engagement or experience surveys and strategic projects
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive participation in our recognition programme to ensure maximum involvement and benefit
• Working closely with the marketing team to align on activity
• Maintain a communications calendar outlining all internal and external requirements, events, awards and key deliverables

The Ideal Candidate

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proven internal communications experience with a clear passion for delivering excellent communications to colleagues
• Some external communications experience
• Strategic, commercially aware, with a creative mindset
• Experience of working in a large organisation across multiple sites and brands
• Confident in dealing with a range of stakeholders
• Enthusiastic and collaborative with the ability to problem solve
• Excellent planning skills
• Experience of using CMS systems
• Creating content for and maintaining an intranet
