BDO Regulatory Solutions are currently recruiting for a Compliance Advice Manager to join our client, an Insurance company, on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role and will involve the successful candidate working from the Cardiff office 2 days a month

About the role:

As a Compliance Advice Manager, you will be required to provide compliance advice to key stakeholders within the business, many of which will be senior stakeholders. Stakeholder engagement and communication is key to this role.

Key responsibilities include;

• Prior experience within a compliance role, someone who is flexible as the role will be reactive and you may be asked to take on additional activities at short notice
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Someone who actively keeps up to date with FCA regulations and can interpret how that will impact the wider business and potential new products they may want to offer.
• Someone who has experience listening to a stakeholder, understanding what they are trying to do and investigates the regulatory and compliance implications in order to advise that individual.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory and legislative issues relevant to the business
• Able to plan and manage multiple projects and deliver results within agreed deadlines
• Proactive approach to work and judgement skills balancing regulatory guidelines and business needs.
• Objective, timely and confident decision-making skills
• Attention to detail, with an analytical mindset.
• Commercially aware, proactive, forward looking, inquisitive and attention to detail.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Excellent documentation skills

Desirables

• Insurance is not essential but is a nice to have
• Knowledge of Consumer Duty and its impact across the wider business
• Prior ESG knowledge or experience

Additional Information:

Location: Hybrid - 2 days a month in the Cardiff office.

Duration: Permanent

Salary:£50k - £60K + Benefits
