We are the leading providers of temporary services to the construction industry and are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Contracts Engineer to join the team based in Glasgow.

The main responsibilities of the Contracts Engineer are:

  • procurement of labour, materials and plant to complete site-based activities.
  • preparation or risk assessments and method statements.
  • actively seek and follow up on sales opportunities.
  • value engineering of existing projects to maximise margins.
  • regular site visits / inspections.
  • general day to day running of the operatives.
  • prepare and submit tenders in line with the specification of the client and the technical expertise of the company.

We welcome applications for this Contracts Engineer role from candidates with any of the following skills: electrical contracts, engineering, electrical, estimating, management, construction, installation, sales, business development, project management, leadership, people management, risk assessment, NVQ Level 3, test & inspection as an Engineer, or Contracts Manager.

Essential Skills
  • Time served Electrical Apprenticeship
  • Electrical Installations Parts 1 & 2 (minimum)
  • NVQ Level 3
  • 18th Edition
  • Good understanding of the electrical test and inspection procedures
  • Minimum of three years' experience as an Electrician
  • Self-motivated, with good communication skills, as the role is client-facing
