Counselling Psychologist

Grade/Pay Scale: UoG G7 (£35,845 - £40,322 per annum)

This position is being offered on a full-time and open-ended basis.

As a Counselling Psychologist you will provide Clinical/Counselling Psychology provision within the Counselling and Psychological Service (CaPS) at The University of Glasgow. This includes working autonomously, both independently and as part of a team, to provide highly specialised psychological assessment, formulation and interventions to students and staff. This includes providing psychological therapies, to students presenting with a range of mental health problems in both individual and group formats. 

You will provide liaison, joint working, consultation, expert advice and supervision of other professionals internal and external to Glasgow University. A key role is providing advice and consultation regarding Students' psychological care and needs. To practice within a multidisciplinary team and provide advice and guidance to other professionals as needed. 

You will provide training, guidance and support to staff of the University on matters concerning student mental and emotional well-being. Participate in service development that includes service policy and practices within the University, as well as provide clinical supervision to various trainee practitioners including psychologists, counsellors, CBT therapists, assistant psychologists.
