Job Title: Data Modeller
Contract Type: Permanent

Salary range: £38,400.00 - £50,000.00

Data Modeller: Our Enterprise Data Services (EDS) division are looking to bring on board an experienced Data Modeller to join our Eastleigh team, with flexible hybrid working approach.
This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to join an established and dynamic modelling team. You will assist in the development and maintenance of enterprise data models and take ownership of specific project models in the Central Data Platform to support descriptive (MI, BI) to predictive (AI, ML) analytic requirements.
The Data Platform function is responsible for modelling and engineering a centralised data platform, creating an optimised data environment that supports current and future requirements.
Main Responsibilities as Data Modeller:
· Assist with the development and embedding of the modelling function within EDS
· Own specific modelling of data projects that support the business in making decisions
· Development, publication and maintenance of enterprise data models
· Enhance the data modelling capability and process to support descriptive (MI, BI) to predictive (AI, ML) analytic requirements
· Help ensure only the right people have the right access to the right data at the right time through strategic modelling of data
· Support the creation, implementation and management of Ageas' Data Strategy
· Modelling of data to meet the development and ongoing requirements of the Data Platform (e.g. Data Lake, cloud Data Warehouse) and the Data Modernisation Programme
· Lead and support activities to reverse engineer data models to determine data structure of applications
· Assist Business and Data Analysts with the development of Business Requirements
· Bring best practice modelling to Ageas and keep up to date with appropriate changes in thinking with regards to methodologies
· Create confidence in the data that is produced by monitoring and testing the data produced for integrity and quality
Skills and experience you need as Data Modeller:
· Proven experience in a data analysis and data modeller role, ideally within a cloud-based environment
· Proven experience in core data modelling methodologies (e.g. Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault approaches)
· Experience in XML and JSON modelling
· Experience in implementing data and analytic platforms
· Experience in designing and delivering Data Lakes and Data Warehouses
· Proven experience with Erwin DM (or alternatively ER/Studio or PowerDesigner)
· Experience of working in an Agile project environment
· Excellent communication and organisational skills with a high degree of agility and flexibility to meet developing business priorities
· Highly experienced working with Databases and ETL/ELT technologies
· Experienced in transformation programmes including the implementation of cloud solutions and Data Warehousing
· Driver of change, relishing the opportunity to leverage a strong technical background to influence decisions at all levels of the organisation
