We are looking for a motivated, dynamic breast radiographer to join our friendly Breast Imaging Unit as the Deputy Principal Radiographer.
You should be a, hard-working enthusiastic, sociable candidate happy to join our team and help provide strong leadership and support, alongside the Principal Radiographer, for the day to day running of our services. A high level of organisational skills and the ability to cope with daily last-minute changes is required. The post will be based primarily at Canterbury but you will be expected to have the ability to travel across East Kent, when required, for the delivery of both the screening and symptomatic workloads across the Trust.
The local NHS Breast Screening Programme is based at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital with 3 mobile units and has a screening population of approximately 120,000 women.
The Symptomatic service is run over the 3 main hospital sites at Canterbury, Ashford and Margate with One Stop Breast Clinics held on each site.
We are looking for experienced breast radiographers or those who have held positions of responsibility previously but will consider training up candidates who demonstrate potential.
For this role you will possess a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography and a recognised post graduate qualification in Mammography. You will also have a high standard of mammographic skills. You must be registered with the HCPC.
The post is full-time but part-time applicants would be considered.
Due to the nature of the work, mammography posts have a gender protected character. This is a genuine occupational requirement and as a result this post is exempt under Schedule 9; Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 and therefore only female applicants should apply.
