Digital Marketing Manager - Hotels

This is a pivotal role in delivering the Hotel's Group strategy. Working closely with the Head of Marketing this role will drive our omni-channel Marketing approach to grow reach, increase relevance and deepen relationships with our target customers. As Digital Marketing Manager you will collaborate with the central Digital team to drive forward a cohesive, innovative and agile plan of activity across all digital marketing channels at a national and local level.

Please note, this is a field based role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing to develop the overall omni-channel marketing strategy for the Hotel division. As well as supporting the development and implementation of innovative and effective Marketing plans that deliver agreed brand and commercial objectives.
  • Lead and manage the planning, briefing and implementation of multi-channel digital marketing campaigns across the Hotels Group brand formats to increase reach, improve relevance and deepen relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Ensure cohesive plans in place across the digital marketing mix (including social, CRM, email, web, app, organic search and paid media) aligned to divisional narrative and commercial objectives at a National and local level.
  • Embed digital first thinking across Hotels Group marcomms activity planning and team.
  • Lead collaboration with central Digital Marketing SMEs to ensure Hotel's Group brand and commercial objectives are achieved.
  • Lead, own and inspire the planning, curation and implementation of outstanding content for Hotel's Group Pubs at a National and local level.
  • Help develop capability and inspire Hotel teams to create compelling hyper local content and optimise use of social channels aligned to brand format, social best practice and guardrails.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, creative and technical teams to create an effective and efficient digital marketing strategy and support successful integration of central programmes including Customer Engagement and UX, website and app development; ensuring fully optimised to support Hotel's Group objectives.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement across all digital marketing channels and influence across matrix to prioritise and gain support for Hotels Group requirements.
  • Work with Insights, Finance and Digital teams to analyse customer and digital marketing metrics, prepare reports on performance of Hotel's Group Digital Marketing activity and turn into actionable insights, with a focus on sharing learnings and continuous improvement.

About You

  • Experience as a Digital Marketing Manager with specific experience in developing a locally activated strategy.
  • Confident in content planning and production for digital campaigns, and associated technical understanding of customer-facing environments and platforms
  • Demonstrable experience in analysing and measuring marketing campaigns e.g. organic/paid search, PPC, display, social
  • Experience in working with insights data/teams/agencies and being able to understand and extract relevant findings to help build and explain the commercial overview
  • Understanding of the hospitality industry and the customer journey
  • A self-starter, who is curious and creative in developing new ideas and solutions
  • Excellent communication skills - written, creative and verbal
  • Commercially astute with a strong understanding of financial reports and measuring the ROI of campaign
