event executive

BIBA Medical is an established company based in West London focused across three areas in the medical field:; conferences, publishing and market insights. Rapidly growing across all divisions, we are looking for an ambitious events executive appointment to support the events and programme team to create and deliver upcoming projects. The role will encourage the development of the successful candidate and will involve working closely alongside the events chairman, head of events and marketing lead.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Working with Programme Chairman and Programme Organising Board to develop and deliver clinical academic sessions
• Updating the internal programme management spreadsheet and ensuring that the internal database is kept up-to-date with programme information
• Liaising with Faculty to send event invitations and communicate their travel and hotel arrangements
• Assisting the events team with upcoming projects from inception to day of delivery
• Working with colleagues to ensure the accuracy of the clinical content for the parallel sessions to be included in marketing brochures and on the website
• Scheduling meetings, answering phone calls and supporting visitors
• Maintaining excellent organisation, especially during busy times of the year
• Managinge and improve relevant processes

Essential skills and qualifications:

• An interest in building an in-depth understanding of vascular disease management
• High standard of organisational ability
• Experience of successfully managing projects/activities, ideally in an education/or clinical context
• Able to work to strict deadlines ensuring contractual compliance and requirements are met
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• An ability to meet deadlines and prioritise work
• Excellent IT skills including MS Office and Access database (or other similar database)

Education and experience requirements:

• University background would be an advantage in dealing with many academic speakers - Bachelor degree or equivalent helpful
• Some office based experience is preferable

Salary expectation:

• £27-32K depending on experience
