Playful Promises is the home of iconic lingerie brands including our namesake Playful Promises. We also have a thriving private label business meaning we have multiple revenue streams.

We currently have 3 core e-comm sites - UK, US and Australia which are experiencing double digit growth.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly engaged Finance & Operations Manager who can help ensure we as a team deliver this profitably.

This role reports directly to the Founder and the team you will manage compromises a Senior Finance Assistant who does most of the day to day financial tasks, a Merchandise Manager who overseas stock buying, forecasting, WSSI management and an Operations Assistant.

Responsibilities

Financial Management:

· To work closely with the Founder, and other key stakeholders to help them develop targets around turnover, margins and profitability

· Financial management, control and reporting requirements including dealing with auditors if necessary

· To build comprehensive P&L and cash flow modelling: Managing the budgeting & forecasting process (there is the potential for external FD support on this if necessary)

· Ensure cash flow is managed efficiently and effectively

· Ensuring efficient stock management from a financial and operational perspective

· Drive cost efficiencies across the business

· To ensure timely and accurate provision of monthly management accounts and supporting information with suitable commentary to help the key stake holders make decisions

· Assisting the Founder with establishing and managing the company’s KPIs and helping with the delivery of them

· Assisting on the day to day finance tasks as necessary to make sure we hit deadlines

· Processing payroll monthly

Operations:

· Manage the warehouse relationships in our 3PLs in UK, US, Australia. Acting as a point of escalation for problems the wider team need help resolving.

· Managing the shipping into the warehouses. The Production & Technical Director manages the shipments out of China and once the goods leave the Finance & Ops team manage them into the warehouses

· Over seeing our ERP and being the point of contact for any issues that team members can’t solve with this software; as well as generally looking for ways to improve processes in this department and/or across the business

· Overseeing the stock and ordering process in the company

· Providing basic HR support across the team

Experience required:

· Confident and articulate communicator with excellent attention to detail in this data orientated business

· Be able to demonstrate your experience of driving an SME business through a period of growth and successful investment

· Have similar Finance & Ops experience of a fashion e-comm business or similar ancillary business such as make-up or jewellery that holds stock

· Preferably ACA or ACCA qualified (or partially qualified) with a 1st class or 2.1 honours degree

· Experience of operating within a private equity backed environment would be a bonus
