About the role

As Financial Planner at Hargreaves Lansdown (HL), you'll be providing a strategic financial planning service to individual HL clients, including overall holistic strategies, retirement, Estate Planning Advice (EPA), Long Term Care (LTC) and other complex planning needs. A key part of the role will be identifying and attracting clients with planning needs through direct marketing and self-generated activity. Our Financial Planners are also responsible for the on-going management of existing clients, in collaboration with our Investment and Service Advisers. We are looking for someone who demonstrates behaviours that reflect the core values of HL to drive the best outcomes for clients.

What you'll be doing

• Providing a strategic financial planning service to individual clients, specifically overall holistic strategies, retirement, IHT, LTC and other complex planning needs
• Identifying and attracting clients with planning needs through direct marketing and self-generated activity
• Managing appropriate on-going management for existing clients through collaboration with Investment and Service Advisers
• Maintaining behaviours that reflect the core values of HL and best outcomes of clients by maintaining the positive application of regulatory principles
  

About you

• At least QCF level 4 qualified and working towards level 6
• Competent Adviser status held
• Able to assist clients to make informed buying decisions
• A commercial approach to all aspects of business
• Ability to use Cash Flow Management analysis tools
• Able to demonstrate proactive and continued personal development
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Effective administration and organisation skills
• Able to demonstrate application of HL's company culture and our Treating Clients Fairly approach

Location

This role will be part of our London & South East Advisory team, covering the region of East Sussex and Kent. Ideal candidates would be based around the Susses/Kent border. The role is remote working, with some travel to visit clients face to face and occasional travel to our Head Office in Bristol (BS1 5HL).

Interview Process

The interview process will be 2 stages. The first stage will be 40-minute initial conversation followed by a second stage with a formal interview, including a task and competency-based questions.
