Given our ambitious growth, we now require a graduate embedded software engineer to work alongside our experienced engineers on all aspects of IoT.
You will be producing customer deliverable firmware in a structured, process driven environment.
This will include, but not limited to, development of the firmware design architecture, firmware tests and documentation as well as being involved in the review and verification. You will also be involved in design of the interactions between devices and cloud.
You will employ the appropriate processes, practices and tools to ensure that responsibilities are completed to meet the required project requirements with the needed quality.
Manage the lifecycle of a project
Author, edit and release technical project documentation
Creation of pre-production prototype samples
Liaise with internal stakeholders to revise prototypes to product ready specifications
Devise and execute test plans to ensure the design process produces robust, relaible products.

What we are looking for
You will be an enthusiastic, embedded C developer with a passion for new technologies. Interested in a broad set of development technologies, managing full project lifecycles will sit comfortably with you.
Self starter. Quick learner. Aligns work to meet company goals.
Experience of various coding languages - primarily C/C++ for microcontroller development.
Knowledge of PCB schematics and layouts.
Experience with digital electronics, logic gates and range of microcontrollers.
Familiar with common communication standards and protocols, including but not limited to SPI, I2C, UART, RS232.
Passions for technology, tinkering and coding - examples of personal projects/hacks gratefully received!
Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently.
Must have enthusiasm, flexibility and ability to improvise.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.
Ideally, you will also be familiar with some of the following, but if not training will be given:
MQTT, GSM/LTE. Zigbee
Embedded Linux, Python
Agile, sprints, backlogs and sprint planning, Azure DevOps.
Experience of the following would be a bonus:
C# .Net development.
Azure platform (or transferrable skills in AWS or Google Cloud)
Unit and integration test frameworks
Accepted degree subjects
