We are looking to appoint a new head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) who will be responsible for activities ranging from financial and strategic planning for the group, to supporting the organisation in making financial decisions and partnering with a range of stakeholders.

We are looking for someone with a commercial mindset who can drive financial challenge into the business, whilst providing insightful data driven analysis to accelerate decision making and ensure alignment to the organisation’s strategic goals. You will need to be a fully qualified Accountant with a background in project accounting, financial modelling & analysis, managing budgets & monthly forecasting.

You will also be responsible for managing and developing a team of Qualified and Part-Qualified Financial Analysts and Project Accountants.

To be successful you'll need:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Have experience in a similar role and environment, in particular with an Engineering / Manufacturing operation
  • Have a proactive, confident and inclusive communication style with experience of influence at various levels within the organisation
  • Be analytical, detail-focused with demonstrable experience of financial modelling and decision support
  • Professional, confident and mature approach
  • Advanced excel and data analytics skills with a willingness to get 'hands dirty’ where required
  • Experience of managing and developing high performing team
  • any experience of IFS system or implementing ERP would be an advantage

Salary: £75,000 to £85,000, depending on experience

Working hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. Flexible working arrangements are considered
