health, safety & environmental advisor - hybrid remote

Overview

We are looking for a passionate, proactive and hands-on Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor with relevant knowledge and experience to join our team. Ensuring that we continually embed a positive and visible HSE culture across the Group.

Salary: £40,000

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable and experienced across all health, safety and environmental elements. Ideally with familiarity in working in a fast-paced and rapid growth environment.

The business provides a unique breadth of vehicles and services tailored to the needs of commercial vehicle hire customers including in-house service, maintenance & repair of our vehicles.

Responsibilities

Regular visits and undertaking of audits to our sites is a critical success factor and as well as providing expert advice and support to the Depot network in UK & Ireland.

As part of the team, you will be reporting to the HSE Manager and support them by:

• Reacting positively and efficiently to any health and safety concerns raised
• Ensuring legal compliance across the Group
• Taking the lead in promoting matters relating to HSE on projects under their control
• Monitoring HSE objectives and targets
• Completing regular Depot inspections and audits and including monitoring the results and close out of any non-conformances

Qualifications

• You will hold the NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
• You will have a strong understanding of all HSE legislation
• Have experience in ISO 14001 Environmental Management, ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management and ISO 9001 Quality Management
• Willing to travel generally for 3 days a week and hold a valid driving licence
