An innovative and rapidly growing, family-run SME are seeking an experienced  Internal Sales Account Manager to join their team based in Linton, Kent. This newly created, full-time role will see the successful candidate working in tandem with the firm’s experienced external business development team. Your role will be to ensure budgets are met through managing existing business consisting of small, medium and large account spends. You will be required to gain in-depth knowledge of Company’s products and related services; providing technical and product specific expertise and support to customers.


You: Are a results-oriented, self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment. Your interpersonal and customer service skills have been honed to perfection. You are well organized, accountable, and your integrity and honesty are above reproach.


Responsibilities...

  • Work proactively and cooperatively with the external sales team growing existing customers accounts, through relationship building and upselling where possible increasing customer satisfaction
  • Provide suitable advice and specialist knowledge of Company products and services, including onsite training / education sessions
  • Provide advice and make appropriate recommendations to customers and sales representatives for solutions in their applications thereby generating new and repeat sales
  • Recommend products based on technical and operational suitability, cost, availability or specifications
  • Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
  • Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items
  • Represent Company at trade shows and exhibitions
  • Remain current on consumer preferences and product develop
  • When required you may be requested to support the customer service department during short periods of high demand

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and qualifications....

  • Background and proven work experience in inside sales within a construction environment for a major regional or national organisation is desirable
  • Proven experience in achieving or exceeding targets
  • Proven experience, competence and success in telephone sales
  • Recognized certification in sales or customer service, or a combination of education and work experience
  • Competent in the use of ERP/CRM systems and standard Microsoft Office software
  • Hungry to develop a career within a growing business
