Following substantial success within the industry, the company requires an experience Investment Analyst to undertake analysis and research in order to identify potential investment opportunities in the Chinese market for consideration by the senior investment professionals, and maintain ESG reports on portfolio companies.
Main duties and responsibilities The successful candidate’s duties and responsibilities will consist of the following: • Researching and analysing financial information relating to companies, that meet specific criteria, such as report and accounts, profit and loss and cash flow statements • Conducting meetings with the management of current and potential investment companies to discuss issues that will help support the investment decision making process • Keeping up to date with market developments, new investment themes and other issues that can impact the markets e.g. political and economic developments in the UK and abroad • Considering how the economic implications of identified ‘change’ might affect performance of companies and funds • Monitoring financial news using online media and market information sources • Producing and presenting investment recommendations and reports for consideration • Performance analysis for in-house funds and against relevant market indices and peer groups • Project work as assigned • To attend investment conferences and company meetings in the UK and abroad, as and when required • To make presentations to clients and potential clients, in the UK and abroad, as and when required
Experience, Skills and Education The successful candidate will have the following attributes: • A Degree in a related area of study, or equivalent experience to meet the requirements of the post • Minimum two years’ experience in an Investment Analyst role • Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is essential • Well-developed financial management and modelling skills • Detailed knowledge of the rules and regulations in relation to job function • Strong analytical skills and able to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail on a consistent basis • Advanced IT skills • CFA Level 1 or above • Good interpersonal skills regarding communication with, amongst others, clients, potential clients, stockbrokers and other financial market participants • Letter writing, report writing and preparation of investment proposals and presentations. • Strong oral and written communication skills • Commitment to Continuous Professional Development in order to remain competent within the FCA T&C requirements. • High level of integrity and confidentiality Interested candidates should forward their Curriculum Vitae with a covering letter detailing relevant experience to Lesley.Inglis@aubreycm.co.uk.
