The Position

We are currently recruiting for an Investment & Development Associate to join our established Investment and Development department. The department is a core part of the business responsible for, appraising acquisitions, analysing, and managing all the Galliard Group projects across all asset classes, obtaining debt and reporting to the Board & External Stakeholders. The successful applicant will provide key support within all areas of the above.

You will be responsible for the following duties:

• Preparing financial appraisals and cash flow models for new and existing projects. These models will be key to determining if we purchase a site and affect our strategic decision making on our existing projects.
• Overseeing and ensuring current projects operate as per the business plan.
• Preparing presentations to obtain acquisition, development, and investment debt.
• Working with valuers and project monitoring surveyor to obtain
• Working with the internal legal team & external solicitors on both new acquisitions, disposals & debt financing.
• Assisting with the Galliard Group quarterly management report.

The Person

The successful candidate will also be able demonstrate the following:

• Good knowledge and experience within a similar role.
• Model and cash flow from scratch.
• Proficient in using Excel, Word, and Power Point.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good knowledge of financial statements and cash flow analysis.
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
• Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders within the business.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' post qualification experience as an Analyst, Associate or similar within Investment Banking, Property Development or similar.
• Willingness to learn and progress within a growing business.
• Real Estate or Financial related degree preferable but not essential, however must be educated to bachelor's degree level or higher.
• CFA qualification preferred but not essential.
