Due to business expansion, an exciting position has become available at Quantum Base for an iOS Mobile Developer / Full Stack Developer with at least 5 years of experience to join our Mobile Engineering team based in Lancaster.

The successful candidate will join us in a company working at the forefront of quantum technologies and will be a central member of a team bringing a disruptive new anti-counterfeit technology to the world through its patented Q-ID® technologies.

About the Role

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to contribute towards the development of the Quantum Base App and associated back-end systems.

You will be designing, developing, and deploying new features to the product. Secondly, you will offer support, issue maintenance fixes and collect user feedback with regard to newly shipped features. And lastly, you will prototype new features to support our team’s efforts as they continuously push forward with the scientific advancement of our product line.

Key Responsibilities:

• Crafting robust, flexible and well-tested code that delivers a great user experience, having a direct impact on the acquisition, retention and engagement of our customers
• Defining and executing strategies to scale apps for public deployment for a global audience
• Taking ownership of engineering and quality assurance processes; investing in a sustainable codebase
• Liaising with the engineering team, leadership team and research team to understand and drive product requirements
• Influencing product roadmaps
• Contributing to regular team meetings with project updates
• Keeping up to date with the latest technologies and practices
• Work within timelines to deliver on product requirements
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary team members
• Communicate challenges and document solutions at pace
• Share learnings and best practices with other team members in line with a company culture that fosters collaboration

Required Experience:

• 5 years of commercial development experience working within a team environment
• Plus, some/all of the technical skills we’re looking for include the following:
• A thorough understanding of SOLID principles
• Experience working with iOS Apps (Swift, CocoaPods, xcodebuild, AppStore Connect)
• Experience working on CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, BitRise or equivalents)
• Experience working with AWS Cloud platforms.
• Desirable but not essential:
• Experience working with Android Apps (Kotlin, Gradle, Jetpack Compose, Google Play Console)
