Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Forensic Psychiatry with an interest in Substance Misuse Psychiatry based with NHS Grampian and Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership. It will be based predominantly within the Blair Unit, Royal Cornhill Hospital, Aberdeen and HMP Grampian. The successful candidate will be joining a Forensic Psychiatry multidisciplinary team which includes Nursing, Clinical Psychology and Occupational Therapy. The work will include out-patient, prison based and in-patient elements with a particular interest in Substance Misuse Psychiatry in the Prison setting.
Candidates must have a higher medical qualification (MRCPsych. or equivalent), those trained in the UK should have higher specialist training in Forensic Psychiatry leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR).
