Work alongside the team at Ty Grosvenor on a 14-month fixed-term contract where you will provide care for people with personality disorders and mental health needs in an established and well-run service. You will focus on equipping people with the appropriate skills for community living.

Reporting directly to Louise, the Hospital Director, you will be responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working and risk assessments. You will also facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and be requested to design and deliver training.

As a senior member of the team, you will have previous DBT training and experience as you lead DBT programmes alongside four fully trained DBT therapists at Ty Grosvenor.

Your responsibilities:
  • You will provide psychology assessments (including neuropsychological), formulation and treatments to service users.

  • Conduct risk assessments, formulations and management plans for the multidisciplinary team to implement into their serviceuser's care and recovery plan.

  • You will act as a consultant to professional colleagues on the psychological aspects of assessment, formulation and treatment ofservice users in a locked setting.

  • To coordinate company audits and to complete service evaluations and research.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • Two years post-registration

  • To be educated to at least Master's Degree level & be registered with the HCPC

  • DBT intensively trained

  • Full membership of an applied division of the BPS and have chartered Psychologist status with the BPS

  • Good knowledge of psychology theory/practice with mental health.

  • Has experience of strategy and development in a forensic experience desired/mental health field

  • Minimum of two years post qualification practice. A proportion of this work needs to have been specialist work with offenders and/or the mentally disordered

  • Experience of managing and supervising staff in a forensic/mental health settinG
