The Leadership and Succession (L&S) practice works with the firm’s search consultants in supporting a fast growing line of business. The L&S practice introduces added rigor to the assessment and development of talent that is located both inside pre-existing executive teams as well as in the external talent market. We provide solutions for clients around business issues including succession management, executive team review and benchmarking, leadership development, hiring and selection, mergers and acquisitions, culture assessment, and private equity.
The Leadership & Succession (L&S) Leadership Specialist will work closely with members of the L&S practice in support of selection, development, succession, and cultural engagements. Specifically, s/he will support L&S team members with efforts related to cultural diagnostics, psychometrics, multisource/ multirater measurement, surveys, report writing, client research, and/or leadership advisory work. The Leadership Specialist will also use data and analytics to develop and present insights around senior leadership assessment, development, and succession. S/he will manage and analyze large data sets and create written materials that convey results in a compelling manner to consultants and clients.
Key responsibilities will include:
Client Services Support: - Drafting written documents to support L&S consultants, such as culture reports, psychometric reports, assessment reports, and development recommendations - Assisting/conducting interviews and multisource/ multirater referencing for assessments - Assist in creating and refining competency models - Providing feedback to clients and candidates on assessments - Supporting/facilitating team workshops and development programs
Psychometric Data Analysis & Management: - Serve as a primary source of analytic support in preparing content-driven business-development tools (e.g., white papers; case studies; thought leadership) - Analyze data from our one-of-a-kind psychometric database profiling thousands of executives across multiple roles, sectors, and industries; analyze and interpret key findings within this dataset for thought pieces, business development, and other data-driven initiatives - Identify, develop, and test research questions to uncover new insights into successful executive leadership and evaluate personality trends; partner with L&S consultants to translate business development requests into meaningful analyses and interpretation - Develop and validate key constructs and competency models that capture executive leadership success across many roles and contexts - Update and maintain large data sets as needed - Update and prepare technical reports to reflect new data - Conduct aggregate analyses to identify overarching themes and observations from a cohort of assessments
Thought Leadership: - Serve as a resource for identifying key themes in data, visualization of data trends, and translating rigorous analytics into digestible findings for internal and external audiences - Partner with Search and L&S consultants to graphically depict leadership trends and insights from our database; create captivating messages that simultaneously deliver strong content with compelling visuals - Assist the Center for Leadership Insight in drafting thought leadership pieces that communicate our executive leadership perspectives

Qualifications: - Required: both a Masters and Ph.D. degree in clinical Psychology - Registration as a Clinical Psychologist with the HCPC - 3 years or more experience in business psychology, leadership consulting, executive assessment, or in related functional responsibilities, such as talent management, executive development, and organization development and change. - Consulting experience preferred, for example in the following types of organizations: consulting firms comprised of psychologists, boutique business consulting firms, large international strategy firms, consulting entities found in the large accounting firms, large international Human Resources consulting firms, and other search firms. - Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (particular expertise in Excel and PowerPoint is desired) - Highly proficient with statistical programs (e.g., SPSS) - Highly proficient analyzing data (e.g., t-tests, ANOVAs, regressions, factor analyses) and presenting results
