There are four posts available which are full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week.
We are seeking one bio-scientist with an interest in biomedical sciences with expertise in at least one of the following areas: clinical immunology, clinical biochemistry, pathology and/or clinical lab skills. one with an interest in pharmacology, one with an interest in biochemistry and one with an interest in cell biology.
The School of Life Sciences undertakes teaching and research in the areas of biochemistry, biotechnology, biological sciences, biomedical science, physiology, exercise, molecular biology, pharmacology, and nutrition and provides services for some 2000 students and 110 academic and research colleagues.
As a team member, you will work closely with colleagues across the School and wider University, to maintain the highest quality of teaching and student pastoral support and provide the best possible experience to School users (primarily students and academic and research staff) in the delivery of the School’s core activities.
The successful candidates will join a School of Life Sciences with a wide reputation for teaching and research in the heart of London. The School hosts a suite of well- established undergraduate (BSc) and postgraduate (Masters) courses for both full-time and part-time students.
The appointees will complement and strengthen our existing research expertise and will be involved in teaching on our BSc and MSc programmes. Applicants for these posts should demonstrate evidence of distinction in research through high-quality publications, ability or potential to obtain peer-reviewed funding in their research area, and enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching, thereby contributing to the Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Pharmacology and Medical Science degrees.
