To deliver its top 20 ambition Swansea University is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer with excellence in research in the Department of Psychology. To facilitate this goal, Swansea University is seeking to appoint an individual with strong research outputs and a history of grant funding. The appointment will be on a Research Academic Career Pathway. In REF 2014 Psychology at Swansea was ranked 27th in the UK and rated as having 44% world-leading research (4*). It was ranked 1st equal in the UK for research impact (100% world-leading (4*)). The department has a thriving research community with research groups in: Clinical and Health Psychology, Cognition and Perception, Cognitive Neuroscience, and Forensic Psychology. For this post, we are interested in securing an applicant that has experience in Cognitive Neuroscience (specifically EEG and MRI methods) and, ideally, has an interest also in forensic populations. The postholder will be expected to contribute to teaching and graduate supervision in psychology with particular focus on the department’s successful MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience, in addition to sharing organisational and academic administrative responsibilities.
