The role

The School is seeking to appoint an outstanding individual with a background in Renal research, or a complementary related discipline, as a Principal Investigator running their own independent programme of research.

What will you be doing?

You will be based in the Dorothy Hodgkin Building in a thriving cross-disciplinary laboratory environment that encourages collaboration between research groups. We can support you with facilities that include proteomics, genomics, imaging and in vivo work for studies. We will provide you with tailored support towards your career development. You should apply if

You are a research fellow and postdoctoral researcher who has established independent profiles, as well as from those already in established positions. We are a vibrant and forward-thinking School – supported by a like-minded University – and seek dynamic colleagues who will relish the opportunity to get involved and further raise the profile of our Bristol Renal research group.
You are a scientists who can align your research strengths with the world leading areas of research in Bristol Renal, including glomerular disease biology, physiology, translational health, bioinformatics, population genetics and/or epidemiology.

Contract type: Open ended
Work pattern: Full time / 1FTE / we are happy to discuss flexible working including part-time and/or job-share applications (minimum 0.8FTE) may be considered. 
Grade: K (Lecturer) or L (Senior Lecturer)
Salary: Grade K (Lecturer) £44,045 - £49,553 per annum or on Grade L (Senior Lecturer) £52,560 - £59,135 per annum (pro rata if part time)
School/Unit: Bristol Medical School
Shift pattern: 100% time / to be determined
