Job Title: Legal & Compliance Manager

Location: Aylesbury

Salary: £50,000 - 60,000

An opportunity has arisen to join an organisation that has big plans for growth.

The Legal & Compliance Manager will report directly to the COO and will be responsible for focusing on, but not limited to the regulatory compliance within the umbrella industry as well as Accountancy. You will be able to advise on the business on the regulatory compliance matters to the day to day operations and strategic business initiatives.

Day to Day responsibilities will include:

• Managing ongoing relationships including regulatory notifications and responses to enquiries;

• Reviewing and responding to the day to day business enquiries, providing quality SME advice on compliance matters;

• Leading on projects on regulatory implementation from a compliance perspective, including assessing requirements, advising on the implementation approach proposed by the business and taking a lead on the tasks.

• Performing risk-based compliance reviews

• Supporting and managing the operation of governance forums run by compliance and representing compliance in the first line governance forums

• Developing and maintaining training materials and delivering ad hoc compliance training to the relevant staff members on new initiatives as and when required

Candidate Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in Compliance, Risk, Consulting or Audit roles

• Ability to take a risk-based lens to issues, thinking critically and asking challenging questions

• Ability to work with colleagues effectively at all levels

• Sound organisational and time management skills

• Self-motivated and ambitious individual with strong communication skills

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritise under pressure
