About the role
Here at Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust, we are seeking a Maintenance Surveyor to help us deliver our customer focused, 'right first time’ approach to all responsive repair and planned work. You will help to see that repairs are completed to a high standard, within time and on budget, and help us to meet our residents’ high expectations.
Many of our homes are in the local conservation area where you’ll contribute to the development of improvement programmes, estate repairs and the sustainability of communities.
About you
We ask our Maintenance Surveyors to hold a recognised qualification in a building related subject and have experience of managing contractors and repairs budgets. You’ll bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to deliver a customer focused service, and have knowledge and experience of Health & Safety and statutory compliance requirements including understanding of multi-skilled trades, gas and electrical compliance and site supervision. An in-depth knowledge of and experience of dealing with mould damp and condensation issues is critical as is a great understanding of domestic construction, diagnosis and specification of remedial work.
