What you will be doing
You will lead a night team that works well together to provide care to children with a diagnosis of an eating disorder supporting them to lead a valued and fulfilled life.
The role of the night duty senior nurse is a key position within our operational management team. The role is responsible for the site during supporting the nurse in charge and clinical teams across 3 wards. The senior nurse role is one that is supernumerary but will be required to support clinically across their 3 wards during the night shift. This role will be the first point of escalation on site and will be supported by an on-call manager and senior director who is available remotely.
It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve; being able to do something today that they couldn't do last week because of you.
The Elysium Wellbeing team is on hand to keep you feeling great; be it a chat, massage or group activities. Who doesn't like a free massage at work? You in the role of Night Duty Nurse will also have a responsibility to shape and innovate our new Hospital At Night programme which focuses on supporting our teams to be well looked after throughout their shifts.
