Job description:

Role: NWE IT Support Specialist

Location: Witham (3 days per week) & London (2 days per week)

Basic Salary: £30,000-35,000 + benefits

Role Purpose

As an NWE IT Support Specialist you will be responsible for first level and second level IT and technical service support with the availability and security of local systems.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provide First level and Second level support for all IT related topics / issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Escalation of priorities for business-critical reasons.
  • Provide local technical support.
  • Identify, analyse and fix the PC or System issues.
  • Installation of new PCs.
  • Ensure availability, accuracy and security of local systems.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Log all IT jobs in SMAX the Service Desk toolset.
  • Participate in projects upon request of IT management.
  • Discrete and respectful use and attitude towards sensitive (personal) information, obtained on request or in the line of duty.
  • Ensure clear communication to all employees.
  • Always Keeping IT assets DB up to date + managing 3rd party finance online portal.
  • Managing the PCs assets 3-year refresh cycle.
  • Ability/wiliness to travel throughout the UK if required to visit a remote office for planned tasks.

What will you need to succeed in this role?

  • Technical and / or business qualification.
  • Demonstrable technical experience in IT/Computer Science.
  • Strong Communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Able to work independently but meanwhile capable of sharing knowledge and practices with a team.
