operations coordinator

We are currently seeking an Operations Coordinator to join a well-established, growing, family-run SME based in Stockport. As a Operations Coordinator you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of daily operations. This role involves coordinating various operational tasks, managing purchase orders, overseeing inventory, and supporting the Operations Director in optimizing processes. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Purchase Order (PO) Creation and Processing- Collaborate with the Operations Director to generate accurate and comprehensive purchase orders based on requisitions and supplier agreements.
• Inventory Management - Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure stock availability. Assist in inventory reconciliation, identifying discrepancies and proposing corrective actions.
• Logistics Coordination - Collaborate with logistics partners to schedule shipments, track deliveries, and manage transportation logistics.
• Process Improvement - Identify operational inefficiencies and suggest improvements to streamline processes.
• Data Management - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of orders, inventory, and operational activities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with various departments, including Sales, Customer Service, and Procurement, to ensure seamless operations.
• Quality Control - Monitor product quality to ensure it meets company standards before dispatch. Address quality-related issues promptly, coordinating with relevant teams for resolution.
• Administrative Support - Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining records, filing documents, and preparing reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience in operations coordination, order management, or a similar role.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and relevant software tools.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and logistics coordination is a plus.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience within commercial bathrooms or similar industry is desirable, not essential

Hours: Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm / Friday 3pm finish
