Description of the role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Consultant to join the team based in the UK and be part of a very energetic team. You would have the opportunity to interact with some of leading pharmaceutical companies in the world, advising them on the pharmacy regulation as a consultant. Responsibilities: • To lead the service maintaining a high standard of service in accordance with legislation, GPhC standards and recognised good practice. • To develop and maintain necessary standard Operating Procedures. • Where necessary, undertake day-to-day professional clinical duties, including screening outpatient prescriptions for appropriateness and providing advice to patients and healthcare professionals. To monitor prescriptions for compliance where clinically appropriate. • Ensure the delivery of dispensing services for the clients are supplied according to the contract. Monitor and report performance against contract requirements and KPI's. • Where required manage the resources in order to provide a safe, efficient and effective service, focussed on customer's needs. • To ensure that the needs of the pharmacy meets or exceeds GPhC standards and maintains registration as a pharmacy. • Contribute to the management and implementation of the clinical services in the pharmacy as determined by the NHS. • Improve efficiency by effectively implementing the Risk management strategies in the pharmacy. • Analyse client’s existing operations to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and any unmet business needs • Identify problems concerned with business strategy, policy, procedures, methods, and markets and establish recommendations and solutions • Develop & Identify innovative ways to improve or otherwise change operations, leveraging technology, best practices, and regulatory knowledge in collaboration with internal colleagues and clients. • Implement new business processes and organizational changes while minimizing disruption to day-to-day business operations • Own individual project deliverables in support of business transformation, and ensure effective implementation of tasks in a high-quality manner • Prepare various documents such as status reports, process maps, SOP impact assessments, training materials and user manuals • Mentoring and supporting of new and existing departmental staff. • Attendance at cross functional meetings as PV representative, giving and receiving any PV specific information as required. • Participating in Weekly Meeting with Team Lead, Co-workers to discuss about the work progress and queries regarding Project. Essential Requirements: • A degree in pharmacy or equivalent • At least 1 years’ experience as a qualified pharmacist in the UK • Good knowledge of the pharmacy regulation in the UK. • Ability to analyse and identify pain points and inefficiencies in the pharmacy business operation. • Able to work in multiple projects with multiple clients and participate in regular weekly meetings, provide status update, and take actions. Desirable Skills • Able to understand the regulations as stipulated by the NHS and the GPHC and implement the standards as required. • Able to analyse client’s existing operations to identify pain points, inefficiencies and any unmet business needs • Able to work cross functionally with the clinical and non-clinical team. • Represent as SME for the Pharmacy management team. • Sound knowledge of the UK Pharmacy operation. • Strong oral and written communication skills to be able to communicate with business users, clients and management teams. • Able to understand issues when raised by the business and provide analytical solutions to drive decisions. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong project management skills and should be able to work independently in unstructured environments. • A desire to work in a close knit, highly successful team with clear accountability. • Self-starter and proactive individual and team player. • Ability to work under pressure.
