We are looking to recruit a high quality Post-Doctoral Research Assistant to join our leading Bradford Centre for Sustainable Environments (BCSE). The ideal candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to delivering a state of the art Newton Institutional Links grant-funded research project to develop pre-fabricated large-scale elements of 100% recycled green materials (geopolymer concrete) from construction and demolition waste that can be easily assembled/disassembled according to a cradle-to-cradle design approach. The project will run in collaboration with Hacettepe University, Turkey.


 The successful candidate will be spending majority of their time in the heavy structures laboratory at Bradford University where other projects focused on reinforced concrete, steel and composite structures, as well as a range of large scale multi-university research programmes funded by RCUK, EU and industry are progressing.


 It is essential that the successful candidate hold a first degree and PhD in a relevant subject area (Civil/Structural Engineering), and a strong grounding in reinforced concrete structures.


 This is a fixed term post commencing 01 June 2021 to 30 November 2021.
