We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Manger to join an established, growing family-run SME based in Leamington Spa.

As Production Manager, you will be responsible for the Production Team holding primary responsibility in ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards, Quality requirements and Delivery schedules.

We are seeing someone with strong people management, Lean manufacturing knowledge, problem solving and RCA. IT competence with experience in implementing and running new systems will be a significant benefit to the role. Experience within the automotive sector is preferable.

Requirements

Health & Safety

  • Responsible for compliance with all H&S rules and standards
  • Identifying risks and carrying out risk assessments including writing of safe systems of work
  • Issuing and enforcing use of PPE
  • Identifying near-misses, reporting and rectifying
  • Regular training on H&S

Quality

  • SOP compliance
  • Ensuring operators are meeting quality requirements set in specifications
  • Ensuring SOP checks are being completed
  • Operational management of real time quality variances
  • Production related variances, CI and NCRs are investigated, corrected, and prevented
  • Assessment of effectiveness of changes/improvements and appropriate feedback and follow-up

Delivery

  • Understand and inform the team of agreed plan and production requirements
  • Engage, motivate, and develop the team to meet performance and delivery requirements
  • Deployment of resources to meet delivery requirements
  • Management of resources including temporary staff, holiday approval, return to work and absence management
  • Skills development and competency matrix management
  • Schedule adherence and management of arrears
  • Management of Performance reviews and disciplinary processe

Personal Development

  • Team and personal development plans including skills and professional development

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
