Project Engineer

Days based role

Based – Ashford

Salary up to £47,000 per annum

We are looking for a Project Engineer to be based at our Ashford site, who will support the Project Engineering Manager and Engineering team with implementing and co-ordinating Capital Projects, in line with manufacturing and site infrastructure strategy.

What will you be doing:

• Project Initiation and scoping – developing documents, co-ordinating and participating in Project Definition Workshops
• Tender Process and Supplier Selection – Preparing specifications, attending project meetings, visiting suppliers
• Writing and providing justifications for Capital projects
• Conducting vendor assessments
• Controlling budget and spend forecasting for approved projects and proposals
• Co-ordinating all contractors in accordance with our policies
• Managing adherence to our safety standards and all legal and regulatory requirements

What we need from you:

• Previous experience of project management in an FMCG environment within the food industry
• Industrial engineering experience
• Familiar with lifting regulations, LOLER, ATEX, DSEAR, PUWER and CE marking
• Conversant with Construction, Design and Management (CDM) process
• High level of IT literacy (fully conversant with MS Project)
• Project planning and management skills, including organisational, time management and delegation skills
