If this sounds like the type of challenge, you are looking for then this is your opportunity to join our Economy Planning and Place team and help make a difference to the lives of our residents within West Sussex.
All West Sussex County Council (WSCC) employees have a WSCC location as their contractual work location, however we do operate a 'Smarter working' approach, this is something that you agree locally with your manager, for what works best for you, your role and your team. The Opportunity
In this role, you will confidently deliver a full client-side project management service including provision of construction/property professional and technical advice on building projects under your control.
You will manage a portfolio of high risk/high value building capital contracts, ensuring compliance with County Council Standing Orders and Corporate Strategy requirements.
You will play a key part in project managing the Council's outsourced Multi-Disciplinary Consultant (MDC) and other contractors on any given building project to effectively deliver a pre and post contract service.
You will work directly alongside our Economy Planning and Place team, so you will have excellent communication skills and be and be adept at finding solutions and thinking on your feet.
About You!
Effective people management skills will be at the forefront of the skills you possess, you will also have prior experience of project management with great budgeting skills!
Alongside a supportive team, you will have the ability to provide direction, build and maintain great working relationships with the team and key stakeholders alike!
