This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to contribute to a world-leading University and work with a well-established project management team to manage a range of technology-enabled projects; these will vary greatly in terms of size, scope and nature.

The Information and Digital Group provides a range of essential information technology services to support the learning and teaching, research, administrative and commercial activities of the University. Organisational success is dependent on the suitability, adaptability and performance of underlying IT services, as well as on modern, inventive ways of delivering excellent service to students, staff and other customers. This role exists to ensure IT services meet University needs and to support the drive for constant improvement at every level across the institution.

Working as part of a team of Project Managers alongside Analysts, Service Owners and customers the person in this role will enable the Digital Strategy and Transformation team to meet the strategic and short-term objectives of customer groups. You will deliver the required project outputs within agreed tolerances. You will plan, manage and monitor the delivery of IT projects and ensure that projects have a sound quality management process.

The role also involves identifying opportunities to improve how the University manages projects to meet current and emerging needs and coaching University staff who are working on projects. Working with established IT standard processes (BCS, PRINCE2, ITIL), you will work closely with our customers at all levels across the University. You will establish effective working relationships at a strategic level, influencing the customer strategy and corresponding service strategies.
