We’re looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our growing UK Operations team. In this role, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of direct and indirect vendors supplying the UK operation. You will be responsible for developing and expediting supply plans at the vendor level to ensure the smooth running of production and the on-time fulfillment of customer orders. You will be conversant with standard ERP planning methodology (e.g. min/max planning, EOQ, ATP, Purchase Order, Sales Order structures, item, and vendor master data) and have a solid understanding of vendor management. As an important member of the UK Operations team, you will help to contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of operational processes and practices.

What will you be doing as our Purchasing Coordinator?

  • Work with the Assembly & Distribution Centre in Poland for the availability of stock.
  • Assist with supply planning for forecast accounts – customers with repeating requirements
  • Building strong relationships with vendors and key stakeholders
  • Assist with supply planning on bespoke orders
  • Handles indirect purchasing accounts (consumables, tools, sundries)
  • Manage the order item report for stock items at min levels – place orders
  • Chase order acknowledgments, and late orders, and update delivery dates.
  • Update material due dates
  • Assist the Production Planner with lead times to maximise capacity utilization in assembly.
  • Assist the Stores Team with stock-related issues
  • Assist the Assembly team as and when necessary

What we are looking for in our ideal Purchasing Coordinator

  • Must have buying/purchasing experience
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Netsuite
  • Ideally from a manufacturing background
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build good working relationships.
  • Able to use your initiative in solving problems.
  • A flexible approach, with a desire to learn and develop.
  • High level of self-motivation, independence, and self-reliance.
  • Able to use your initiative in solving problems.
  • Good attention to detail, producing accurate information.
