Role Profile
The available role is within the Regulatory Reporting and Control team. This is a member facing role and the candidate will be required to respond and resolve member queries related to Regulatory reporting. The candidate will also produce reports and data extracts for multiple regulators on a daily basis. The candidate will perform and review outputs from business critical controls on both automated and manually generated regulatory submissions to ensure timely and accurate data. The candidate is expected to implement change and improvements to processes and operations to ensure daily processes remain reliable and efficient.

The team sits within LCH Operations and contributes to all product classes but is primarily aligned to OTC Rates products or the SwapClear clearing service.

Enter the key responsibilities of the role:

  • Liaise with Compliance and Legal to manage information requests from various regulatory bodies
  • Collaborate with management and staff in the development and implementation of new projects and/or initiatives related to operational goals and/or process improvement directives.
  • Develop new as well as execute existing regulatory reporting on a monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc basis; includes trade related activity; operational risks and internal controls
  • Manage internal control monitoring to assess the design and operational effectiveness of our regulatory submissions
  • Reconciliations; execute and monitor daily reconciliations of regulatory submissions and internal control points. As well as investigate and resolve identified exceptions
  • Partner with Technology to drive a strategic data quality, sourcing and metrics development agenda to drive automation and efficiency
  • Assist on other projects as needed such as UAT and regression testing, perform other related duties and special projects as required
  • Fees; monitor automated fees, calculate manual fees and assist stakeholders in the introduction of new fee types.
  • Liaise with members to resolve regulatory reporting queries.
  • Assist business/function management in establishment of "end to end" ownership of operational risks, controls and processes
Enter key behaviours and skills required to be successful in the role:

A successful candidate would have good written and verbal communication skills and 1+ years' experience in Operations at an investment bank or clearing house. A successful candidate must have detailed knowledge in regulatory reporting, specifically within the US and European regions as well as knowledge of the clearing process.
