We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Northampton. The role is crucial to our client's continued growth, ensuring they meet and excel on customers’ demands. The company specialises in commercial and industrial solutions in all areas of fluid handling. They supply, install, repair and maintain pumps and pump systems to all major industries including facilities management, manufacturing and construction.

Reporting to the Sales Manager you will be hands on to grow and maintain existing customer accounts and grow your sector through opening and obtaining new customers. It is critically important that you thrive on selling well, including doing your own F2F sales visits. You must be motivational and have excellent communication skills, and willing to provide customers

Key duties and responsibilities....

• Maintain and develop the company client base
• Meeting planned sales goals
• Working with the internal sales team, marketing team and other managers to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximise revenue opportunities
• Meet sales targets and deliver on the bottom line budgeted profit for the sector.

• Obtaining and booking appointments to prospective clients and existing clients
• Carrying out F2F visits and site surveys
• To grow customer accounts and ensuring a regular contact cycle is maintained.
• Quote follow up and delivery
• Providing excellent customer service for prospects and customers in the Industry Sector

Requirements

• Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies
• Ideally a sound knowledge of engineering.
• Experience in customer relationship management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Dedication to providing great customer service.
• Understanding and knowledge of pumps and pump systems and the systems they fit into

Benefits

• Salary of £60,000 - £70,000 (negotiable)
