The Role
An excellent opportunity has emerged for a high-level Second Line IT Support Engineer to join the technical team of one of our clients in London.
Reporting to the Senior IT Team, you will be diagnosing and resolving users’ queries and tickets in a timely and professional manner, escalating where necessary. The role will involve face to face user support as well as remotely supporting colleagues based in other locations.
There will be training opportunities to further develop skills and knowledge in key areas such as desktop support, networking, and operating systems.
As you will ultimately be working for our client directly, you will be based at their HQ in London (close to Victoria or St James’s Park Underground Stations).
Requirements:
• At least two years of experience in a similar role
• Level 3 qualifications (A-levels/Higher Education Diploma, Advanced Apprenticeship) essential
• Fault-finding skills especially at network, printer and computer level
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11, 10
• Proven experience working with Microsoft Office 365 suite - Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint, Excel and Outlook
• A good working knowledge of web applications, networks, protocols and emails (SMTP, POP3, and Exchange)
• A good understanding of TCP/IP Networking and experience with DHCP, DNS and VPN
• Proven experience with Microsoft Active Directory
• A good understanding of all handheld peripherals, e.g. IPad, IPhone, Android, etc. would be desirable
• Excellent communication skills (in person and via telephone), strong written and spoken English is essential
• Personable, with the ability to build rapport with internal teams
• The successful candidate will be a quick learner and punctual and thorough worker, with astute attention to detail
This is a Monday to Friday role (8:30am – 6:30pm)
All technical staff are given a thorough aptitude and technical test during interviews.
The Package:
£40,000 – £50,000 Basic + Discretionary Bonus
