About the Role

Our Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will be the key component in delivering insights into potential financial impacts of upcoming interchange and card scheme fee changes both at full portfolio and individual customer level.


Being part of the EU Pricing and Analytics function, you will be involved in providing data analytics to support business partners in their day-to-day activities whilst also providing insights into business performance, through the provision of timely and accurate data and analysis.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the timely delivery of all required financial information for the Finance and Accounting teams to meet SLA on income reporting for month, quarter and annual periods.
  • Analyse key transactional and financial data for each billing cycle, providing insight and commentary on significant month-on-month movements and trends.
  • Develop, produce and distribute new and existing reports/dashboards/visualisations at agreed times, to meet Finance and wider business requirements of data held in the Data Warehouse and enable provision of consistent data to senior management.
  • Manage requests from internal customers to create reports in SQL/Excel/MicroStrategy to meet ad hoc MI requests, monitoring requests to see if similar requests are being made and when appropriate develop a permanent report in the system to meet requirements.
  • Data download and analysis to support portfolio re-pricing, revenue assurance and data cleansing initiatives.
  • Support the teams European pricing function with maintenance and development of pricing models, cost models and MyGPN page/repository
  • Own, maintain and develop the process for MNC customer gross settlement invoice production.
  • Assist with the documentation and mapping of current team processes, identifying areas for increased automation and efficiency, driving required changes to deliver improvements

About You

  • Experience in a BI or data analyst/scientist role (minimum 3 years)
  • Very strong skills in BI visualisation tools, specifically MicroStrategy and also preferably Tableau
  • Strong knowledge of Card Acquiring, particularly structure of card scheme and interchange tiers/fees (desirable)
  • Strong financial skills
  • Highly numerate with commercial acumen
  • Analytical mind with the ability to interrogate and interpret large data sets
  • Very strong Excel skills
  • Good SQL query writing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to disseminate complex information to a variety of audiences in a variety of different styles
  • High standards in professionalism and customer service
  • Degree or equivalent in data science, statistics or applied mathematics a distinct advantage, but not essential
