Ordnance Survey are currently looking for a Senior Data Architect to join our team. We embrace a hybrid working model at OS and understand there is no one size fits all in relation to how we work. We have a fantastic HQ in Southampton, Hampshire where you will be required to spend 1 day a quarter with the remaining time being a personal choice as to whether you work from home, one of our regional offices or spend more time at OSHQ. Ordnance Survey is also able to consider offering fully remote contracts in the appropriate circumstances. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £53,754 - £63,240 per annum.
Ordnance Survey (OS) provides national mapping services for Great Britain and is a world-leading provider of geospatial solutions. OS location data and expertise has helped governments make smarter decisions, businesses gain valuable data insight, and everyone experience the world outside for over 225 years.
We offer fantastic benefits in return for joining us as our Senior Data Architect:
About the Senior Data Architect role:
Joining our growing Data Architecture team, you will be responsible for the definition of our business data landscape, data models and architecture blueprints for the Customer & Insights domain. As an integral part of the business, you'll ensure the design and development of business systems and insights solutions / capabilities are efficient, sustainable and fit-for-purpose for OS’s current and future needs.
You will be a natural problem solver, a collaborator who relishes the opportunity to apply technology and data architecture to the delivery of business-focussed solutions. Your knowledge should encompass data management, BI and data analytics, data integration, database design, information modelling theories and data standards.
We are seeking a candidate that is unafraid to learn and apply skills and experience to business situations, somebody who can take a long-term view, see the bigger picture, with the ability to balance risk and opportunity. With your dedication, you will build corporate capability in customer data and BI best practise. So, whether you’re building positive relationships with stakeholders or making sure that data solutions are aligned to strategy and technical direction, you’ll be working to deliver real and proven value to the business.
Ideally you will come from a background in one or more domains related to customer data, BI / Business analytics and have experience of working with business stakeholders to develop their Insights Strategy and roadmaps.
What we’re looking for in our Senior Data Architect:
Our growing Technology and Design team plays a key role in ensuring OS is at the cutting edge of geospatial data products, services and location insight and is looking for people to join them. Its mission is to work across the business to provide customer centric design and technology services.
