The starting salary for this role is £62,363 per annum for working 36 hours per week.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Surrey County Council as a Senior Development Manager. Land and Property Services has responsibility for extensive portfolios of operational and non-operational premises, including office buildings, libraries, fire stations, rural land, care homes and many other types of property. Our diverse service delivers everything Property: designing new buildings; managing, maintaining and adapting existing buildings; acquiring and selling land and property; and managing tenancies, leases and other agreements.

Senior Development Manager – Project Delivery
We have an opening for a Senior Development Manager to focus predominantly on construction projects that will include the refurbishment and/or redevelopment of our fire service and blue light services, highways depots, libraries, community buildings, children’s and family support services, outdoor leisure and education, and other community projects.
As part of the Capital Project’s team within SCC’s Land & Property function, you will be instrumental in developing and delivering an ambitious capital programme. This capital programme for the next five years represents a step change in the scale of delivery in Land and Property, in terms of number of projects, investment value and complexity. The projects within it will transform the delivery of services through improving the existing estate and replacing those elements that cannot meet current or future needs. The investment needed is estimated to be up to £1bn over the next five years and individual projects will range in value from £1m to £50m.
